FOX RENARD MODEL 330 OBOE LEFT HAND F LOW Bb ALTERNATE C KEY SHOP ADJUSTED WOW

Description

Up for auction is a gently used Fox Renard Artist model 330 modified conservatory oboe. All keys move freely and the  pads/key corks are in good condition. There are no cracks present and no bore issues exist.  This oboe has a left hand F key, an alternate C key and a low Bb bell key.  The serial number is in the 50xx range, which dates the year of manufacture to approximately 1988. This oboe has
minor surface scratches throughout from normal use and key plating wear is minimal, with approximately 98% of plating intact. This oboe plays fine and has recently been shop adjusted for good play condition.  However, some adjustments may be required after shipping and for personal preference. Included is a gently used wood shell oboe case and a reed case.
Manufacturer's details and specifications:
The Fox Model 330 oboe features a high quality plastic resin body whose bore is hand-reamed and finished by Fox craftsmen. It has silver-plated posts, bands, and bell ring, and stainless steel arbors and wire springs. The keys are nickel silver with nickel silver hinge tubing and heavy silver plating.
It additionally features a handmade modified conservatory mechanism including left hand F, alternate C, and articulated C#, with the exception of the split ring Eb-E trill key, Ab-Bb adjustment mechanism, and 3rd octave key. Cork pads on low C and above, teflon tipped stainless steel adjusting screws. Each instrument is individually hand tuned to A-440 pitch at 72° F.
